What’s There to See in Sacramento, CA?

Sacramento, the capital city of California, is currently the fastest growing city in the Golden State. It is also jam-packed with attractions to delight all of our eye care patients! History buffs will be happy to explore the Capitol building and museum at Capitol Park, and nature-lovers will be pleased to wander through the lovely landscaped gardens of the rest of the park.

About a mile away is Sutter’s Fort, another interesting historic site where you can see the restored heritage of John Sutter’s farmlands, fortress, and sawmill. To experience more of the local heritage, head to Old Sacramento, along the Sacramento River. There are five museums in this neighborhood, including the California State Railroad Museum.

Are you feeling hungry? Old Sacramento is the place to be, with many fantastic eateries, such as Bali Kitchen, Steamer’s Bakery & Café, Joe’s Crab Shack, and the Sacramento Sweets Co. (perfect for quick, sugary energy!). You can also spend a hilarious night out in Old Sacramento at the popular Laughs Unlimited Comedy Club.
