Tips for glasses wearers during COVID-19

unnamed (3)

Washing your hands is one of the most important things you can do to protect yourself, your family, and your community. But what about your glasses? Especially if you're taking them on and off throughout the day, they could be transferring germs to your face. Be sure to follow these steps to keep your glasses clean, and keep yourself and others safe:

1. Run your glasses under warm water, covering the entire frame and both lenses.

2. Use antibacterial dish soap on your fingers to wipe down all surfaces of your glasses along with the lenses.

3. Rinse your glasses under warm water and dry with a lens cloth. (It's important not to use a paper towel or your shirt as they can scratch the surface of your lenses or wipe away any coatings you might have like anti-glare or blue light protection.)

Remember when you're not wearing your glasses to always place them in their case. This will keep them from coming in contact with other contaminated surfaces!
