Scott Gittins, O.D., Optometrist
Dr Gittins has a passion for the care of his patients. He enjoys fitting people with contact lenses , especially those that didn’t think they could wear them. With some of the newer mutifocal contact lenses more people are able to see glasses free. He also has a particular interest in ocular disease and treatment.
After graduating from Southern California College of Optometry in 1991, he moved to the Rocklin area and joined Eyecenter. He is certified and licensed to treat eye disease including glaucoma. Dr Gittins has served for the Board of Examiners of Optometry as a expert examiner. He speaks and does lectures on eye health and career days at local schools. His most recent mission trip to provide eye care was to Nicaragua. We have supported trips to Fiji and Nigeria as well. After living in town for 10 years his family relocated to the country and he enjoys raising Megan, Annika and Brenna his three daughters.
