Dr. Scott Gittins received his Optometry Degree from Southern California College of Optometry in 1991. He has worked in all facets of ophthalmic care, ranging from patients in Veterans’ Hospitals to the Naval Airstation in Corpus Christie. He is well versed in the care of our patients wishing to have laser surgery. Dr. Gittins has passed and fulfilled all the requirements to medically manage many eye conditions that unfortunately seem to happen at the worst times. Knowing that education is very important for the doctor and the patient, Dr. Gittins attends more continuing education than is required and believes in passing along his cutting-edge knowledge to his patients, knowing that patients should not just know what they need to help them, but why as well.

Dr. Gittins is active in the optometric community serving in various board positions as well as a board member for Pacific Laser Eyecenter. He is a trustee for a local church and teaches various classes throughout the year. He enjoys raising his three girls along with his wife Julie, in addition to tearing it up on the softball field.
