Dr. John C. Coen is a graduate of California State University of Chico and University of Missouri, St. Louis School of Optometry (1989). He has been is practice for fifteen years, specializing in primary care and contact lenses. He is has been certified to therapeutically treat eye injuries and infections since 1989. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and California Optometric Association, currently serving on the board of the local Sacramento Valley branch, working to bring cutting-edge education to the local optometrist.

Dr. Coen is happily married to Dr. Brenda Coen and they have three young sons. He enjoys jogging and baseball as well as trying new and adventuresome foods, (not really). And by the way, he has had LASIK surgery (1999).
