Dr. Fred Fuerst has been in practice for over 40 years, and is the founding father of our practice. He has a passion for vision therapy and is a fellow in the College of Optometrists in Vision Development. This passion was ignited when his son, Randy, was in grade school and his teachers stated he was struggling with reading. Dr. Fuerst knew Randy’s eyesight was perfect, but became concerned about Randy’s eye tracking. Thus, began his love of vision therapy. He has helped thousands of children with visual processing issues. And what happened to his son Randy? He became the top reader in the school and is now a partner in the practice.

Dr. Fuerst also enjoys working on his ranch, from growing roses to cows, as well as spending time with his four grown children and his grandchildren.
